Based in York city centre, walking distance to the train station, accessible by car, The Alternative Workspace gives you the freedom to engage your teams and clients in a different way, we’re all about increasing productivity whilst having fun.
With capacity for up to 24 people, the space is flexible - with all the facilities you need. The Alternative Workspace is the perfect location for a meeting, away day, workshop, team building, small corporate event, small conference, or board meeting.
Our workspace benefits from a multi-use boardroom table that can be separated to create a cabaret-style setup. Access to a whiteboard easel, wide screen TV with HDMI or VGA connection, superfast Wi-Fi, and plenty of natural daylight. People love our dedicated kitchenette.
The Alternative Workspace is a welcoming haven to bring your team together. You will have sole access to the space with a dedicated rest room.

Which workplace superhero are you?
The achiever is someone who strives for excellence in everything that they do. They’re likely organised, reliable, and consistent in their performance. It’s usually very easy to distinguish the achiever from other employees due to their strong work ethic.
The analyst is someone who prefers to do their work from behind a veil. Not usually the life of the party, analysts work best in positions that deal with data and metrics. These employees are steady, persistent, and produce quality work without needing a lot of recognition.
Highly engaged & always ready to participate, the energizer is the life of the party. These individuals are great at coming up with new ideas, the perfect person to install passion amongst others and create excitement about a project.
